Inspired by Madeline Miller’s incredible novel, The Song of Achilles and its beautiful retelling of Greek myth of Achilles and Patroclus, this paper discusses how myths remain present in many aspects of the modern era. Utilizing the song, Achilles Come Down by Gangs of Youth, this paper emphasizes how the story of Achilles and Patroclus is once again retold through the musical stylings of the modern era.
