Hello, I’m Emily!

I am a Digital Communications Specialist passionate about PR, marketing and social management. I recently graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber, having obtained my Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media and Communications Studies, as well as a Diploma in Media Communications.

Additionally, I strive to break barriers and continue to advocate for promoting women in industries lacking equity, inclusion, and diversity. I plan to use my skills, platform, and career path to be a leader and change-maker in my industry.

With content creation, reputation management, and communications skills, I aim to be an asset in any job I pursue and prove myself as a responsible, organized, and strong team player.

Personal Mission

I plan to pursue a career in sports and entertainment to help increase the number of females in the industry and foster the voices of female fans, athletes, and allies with each sport.

My Philosophy

To Fail is to Learn

Growing up, I always viewed failure as bad and that each mistake would lead me to nothing. I took everything very seriously and always viewed each piece of constructive feedback as a failure. However, I have learned that mistakes, rejections and things considered “failure” are simply things to learn from. They are stepping stones that allow people to grow and strengthen their skills.

Everything will work out in the end.

Often, obstacles will come in the way of any project you work on. Conflicts or added stresses will interfere with your path. However, with time and hard work, things will all work out. Call it good karma, but anyone can overcome adversaries, and everything will eventually have a solution.
